Purpose

The Massey Business School Bachelor of Retail and Business Management Bursary supports people working in the retail industry who wish to study retail and business management.

Value and tenure

The value of the bursary is up to a maximum of $1500.

The tenure is for a single academic year in the year the bursary is awarded.

Typically up to one scholarship will be awarded

Eligibility

Applicants must:

•be eligible, and intending, to enrol in the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management (BRBM)
•be enrolled full-time or part-time in undergraduate courses of the BRBM degree programme
•be enrolled in the year of the award at any Massey University campus

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on enrolment in the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management and a 300 word rationale for why they deserve the award

Selection panel

The bursary is awarded by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Massey Business School selection committee.

Conditions of the bursary

The Massey Business School Chair of Retail Management Bursary may be held concurrently with any other Massey University bursary or scholarship.

Payment is made in two installments upon confirmation of enrollment in semesters one and two, following the official withdrawal dates for these semesters.

Payment for semester two will be conditional on the successful completion of semester one study.
